Storm co-owner Celeste Keaton suspended after fan confrontation

Celeste Keaton, co-owner of the Seattle Storm, has been suspended and fined by the WNBA following a confrontation with two teenage fans at a game against the Indiana Fever. The teens were supporting WNBA player Sophie Cunningham’s stance on banning transgender athletes in women’s sports. Reports indicate that Keaton approached the fans, who wore shirts depicting chromosomes related to gender, and allegedly made disparaging comments, leading to a public apology from the Storm organization. As a consequence, Keaton will miss the next five home games as determined by the league.
