Striker Andreas Weimann joins League Two club Cheltenham Town

Striker Andreas Weimann has signed with Cheltenham Town following a career spent primarily in the Premier League and Championship. The 35-year-old free agent, who spent the latter half of last season on loan with Rapid Vienna, prioritized finding a club closer to his family in the UK. Weimann has featured in all four of the team's league matches this season and registered an assist during a victory over York City. Manager Steve Cotterill played a significant role in recruiting the forward, who remains committed to playing despite his veteran status. Weimann continues to pursue his first goal for the club after narrowly missing out on a strike during a win against Rotherham. He remains a regular presence in the box and expects his goal contributions to increase as he integrates further with his new teammates.
