Summary

Sunderland AFC has reached an agreement with Stade Rennais for the transfer of Eliezer Mayenda, valued at €22 million with an additional €3 million in bonuses. Mayenda, a 21-year-old Spanish youth international, previously struggled for consistent minutes at Sunderland but hopes to find a more prominent role at Rennes. The club aims to improve its performance in European competitions under the management of Franck Haise, who led them to a UEFA Europa League qualification spot last season. Details on the timeline for the transfer have yet to be announced.
