Suneagles Golf Club in Eatontown, New Jersey, is marking its centennial year. Designed by A.W. Tillinghast, the course opened in 1926 and spent several decades as part of the U.S. Army's Fort Monmouth complex. Following the military base closure in 2011, the property transitioned to semi-private use before the Martelli Development Group purchased the club in 2023 to restore its private status. Management is currently restoring the layout to Tillinghast’s original design by using archival photographs. The club recently partnered with SGL Golf to implement robotic turf maintenance technology aimed at improving course health while reducing water and chemical usage. The historic Tudor-style clubhouse, now known as Tillinghouse, has also undergone renovations to serve as a public banquet and dining facility.
