The Phoenix Suns overcame a poor first half to claim an 81-79 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on July 10 in their Summer League opener at Cox Pavilion, Las Vegas. The Suns trailed 38-24 at halftime after shooting just 21.1% in the first half. Javonte Cooke led the Suns with 21 points, while Khaman Maluach posted a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Rookie Koa Peat added 17 points. The Suns will continue Summer League play on July 12 against the New Orleans Pelicans.
