Suzy Kolber details her exit from ESPN after three decades

Suzy Kolber addressed her departure from ESPN in a recent podcast interview with Richard Deitsch. The long-time Monday Night Countdown host explained that she sensed the layoff weeks before it occurred after receiving an ambiguous response from management regarding her job security. Kolber, who joined the network in 1993, noted that she was ultimately informed of her termination by Norby Williamson. During the final conversation, Kolber was instructed not to make disparaging comments about the network to avoid losing the remainder of her contract. The broadcaster is now transitioning to a new role as an on-air host and executive producer for the Scripps Sports Network series titled The Originals. She will feature guests such as Steve Young and Jon Gruden on the upcoming program.
