Swansea City coach Matos focuses on Championship after contract extension

Vitor Matos extended his contract with Swansea City until 2030, emphasizing that the Premier League remains the club's goal. However, he stressed the immediate focus is on competing effectively within the Championship, where Swansea prepares for its ninth consecutive season since relegation in 2018. Following a successful stint that eased relegation worries last season, Matos noted Swansea's ambition is demonstrated through recent signings totaling approximately £15 million. The club aims to further improve its squad before the transfer window closes, working on acquiring additional players in key positions.
