Swansea City moved to second place in the Championship standings following a 3-1 home victory over Burnley on Saturday. Goals from Adam Idah, Moussa Yeo, and Zan Vipotnik secured the win, which served as a recovery after the team's midweek loss to Southampton. Head coach Vitor Matos, who took charge in November 2025, has lost only one of his first seven league matches this season. The result leaves Swansea level on points with league leaders West Ham, though the side remains behind on goal difference. Matos emphasized that the squad is focused on maintaining their internal process rather than current league positioning as they look to build on the momentum of a busy summer transfer window.
