Syracuse football predicted to finish last in ACC preseason poll

The Syracuse Orange have been projected to finish 14th out of 17 teams in the 2026 ACC preseason poll announced by the conference. The prediction comes from a vote by 188 media members, indicating a challenging season ahead. Last year, Syracuse was placed 12th but ended the 2025 season with a 3-9 record, which follows a 10-3 finish in 2024. Miami is the favorite to win the conference, with several teams receiving first-place votes. Syracuse opens the season at home against New Hampshire on September 5.
