Syracuse soccer teams earn road victories against UConn and Northwestern

The Syracuse men's soccer team opened its season with a 2-1 victory over #24 UConn on August 20, 2026. Jordan Grey scored the first goal, followed by a game-winner from Gabriel Oksanen in the second half. The Syracuse women's team also secured a win, defeating Northwestern 1-0 after Abby Incorvaia scored from the penalty spot. Goalkeeper Maya Naimoli's performance was pivotal, recording two saves and allowing just one goal in three games. Both Syracuse teams are set to return home on August 23 for matches against New Hampshire and Princeton, respectively.
