Columbus Crew's Taha Habroune is training following a hard hit from Gerardo Valenzuela of FC Cincinnati during a match on July 25. The incident, occurring at the end of the Crew’s 2-1 victory, led to a confrontation in the tunnel postgame. Despite suffering from lingering soreness, Habroune has participated in training sessions and may be available for the upcoming match against Inter Miami CF on August 1. Crew interim coach Laurent Courtois indicated that while Habroune is limping and experiencing some pain, he has been able to train. Valenzuela is expected to receive a two-game suspension after being issued a red card for the incident.
