Taito Kato wins Formula 3 Sprint Race at Monza

ART Grand Prix driver Taito Kato earned his first victory in the Formula 3 Sprint Race at Monza on Friday. Starting from ninth on the grid, Kato navigated through the field before defending his position against TRIDENT driver Freddie Slater during the final two laps. Slater, the current championship leader, finished in second place after starting 12th, successfully extending his series lead to 17 points. Hiyu Yamakoshi of Van Amersfoort Racing completed the podium in third. Elsewhere, a final-lap overtake by AIX Racing driver Yevan David moved him into fourth ahead of Alessandro Giusti. The field now prepares for Sunday’s Feature Race, where Slater is scheduled to start from pole position alongside ART driver Kanato Le.
