Zuffa signed him earlier this year to a reported seven-figure deal that Fisher himself said was many multiples of what Matchroom offered. So, thanks to spite and the financial backing of Saudi Arabia, Fisher is now a millionaire, and Dana White has a British journeyman in his stable of fighters who are most frequently deployed in a Boy Scout pup tent in Nevada. As long as he feels like he stuck it to Eddie Hearn, I suppose? Fisher makes his Zuffa debut here, taking on Michael Pirotton, a Belgian whose chief appeal is that he probably (but not certainly!) isn’t good enough to upset Fisher in Fight #1 of his contract. ZUFFA BOXING, BABY! Get fired up! ON THE UNDERCARD: Hey, a decent fight! Craig “Spider” Richards vs Radivoje “Hot Rod” Kalajdzic! Both men have come up a small tier below world champion level, but you can’t find a sanctioning body rankings without one or both of them in it. This is a fight that should put the winner in position for another shot at potentially winning a top level belt. Other stuff here, too! But, if you’re not keen on this fight, or watching Dana White flagrantly canoodle with Fisher in hopes that Eddie Hearn sees and gets really sad? It won’t sell you on tuning in. DAZN is showing a photo of Konstantin Uskov (1-2, 0 KO) vs Sultan Mohammad Naeemi (no pro record on BoxRec) as the spotlight fight. Not a lot I can tell you about the lineup here… So, I’ll tell you that Tallinn is apparently the birthplace of Skype! They also have a well-regarded film festival, which once programmed a project that Ya Boy produced in the island nation of Cyprus. Didn’t attend that one in person, but the Cypriots who did tell me that Tallinn is lovely! DAZN, 2:00 pm ET Liam Davies vs Nathaniel Collins From Birmingham, England, for Davies’ European featherweight title. Collins actually fought for this belt about a year ago when it was held by Cristobal Lorente, a fight that ended in a split draw. They ran it back in April, where Collins took his only pro loss in another split decision. Davies suffered his only pro blemish against Shabaz Masoud back in 2024, a fight where Davies also lost the IBO super bantamweight title. Busy undercard, with Luke McCormack and Kay Prospere fighting for a vacant British super lightweight belt. Also, Nathan Heaney, Nelson Birchall, and Paris Olympians Lewis Richardson and Lasha Guruli in attendance. DAZN, 6:00 pm ET Henry Cedujo vs Javon “Wanna” Walton From Miami, Florida. Misfits Boxing, so skip ahead if that already tells you enough. Cedujo is a former MMA champ making his pro boxing debut. Walton is best known as an actor and went pro in 2023. Cedujo was originally supposed to fight Deen the Great, a Misfits dipshit influencer boxing regular that ESPN misidentified as “Dean the Great.” Not an egregious mistake, as most anyone that’s not an idiot or an a–hole spells “Dean” that way. I can’t tell you how annoyed I am that I know enough about any of these Misfits people to have clocked it as an error. UFC Fight Pass, 9:00 pm ET Championing Mental Health 3 From Commerce, California. Otar Eranosyan is the most notable name on the lineup of a show that, historically, runs deep with a lot of fights on each card. This one is interesting to me because it’s being put on by the Bash Boxing people, but the streaming is through UFC Fight Pass, not Bash TV. Sunday, September 27th Takuma Inoue vs Tenshin Nasukawa 2 (DAZN, 4:00 am ET) BLH will have live results and updates From Tokyo, Japan, for Inoue’s WBC bantamweight title. A rematch of a very good fight first staged last November, where Nasukawa took on a big challenge in his 8th pro fight and came up short against a proven champ in Inoue. Nasukawa stopped Juan Francisco Estrada in the 9th round of his next outing back in April, and Inoue won a wide decision over Kazuto Ioka in May. Now, they’re running it back, and if it’s half as good as the first outing, it’s well worth waking up early to watch. ON THE UNDERCARD: Sam Goodman and Ryosuke Nishida fight for an interim IBF super bantamweight belt. Tomoya Tsuboi goes for a vacant WBC super flyweight title against Ricardo Malajika. Tsuboi is an interesting one, as he’s in just his 4th official pro fight (had a No Contest last time out), but he’s already 30, so the quick matchmaking is more essential than bold.
