Tarik Skubal could be traded as Tigers weigh options before deadline

As the MLB trade deadline approaches, the Detroit Tigers face a crucial decision on whether to trade Tarik Skubal. Currently six games under.500 but still in playoff contention, the Tigers might opt to move the two-time Cy Young winner, who will be a free agent after this season. Teams such as the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers, Tampa Bay Rays, and New York Yankees are considered potential landing spots. The Dodgers might leverage their deep farm system to secure Skubal, while the Cubs are seeking a top starter to bolster their playoff push. The Brewers may consider the trade mainly to prevent Skubal from joining a rival, while the Rays typically avoid rental trades. The Yankees could enhance their rotation depth by acquiring Skubal, despite needing to address offensive concerns.
