Tarik Skubal's free agency has potential parallels with Juan Soto's move

Tarik Skubal, a top free agent pitcher, is expected to attract significant interest this offseason. While the Los Angeles Dodgers are thought to be in the lead for his services, analyst Jorge Castillo suggests the New York Mets could emerge as strong contenders. Castillo likens Skubal’s potential signing to Juan Soto's blockbuster deal, arguing that Mets owner Steve Cohen might be willing to make a big investment. Though Skubal has expressed a fondness for the Dodgers and their coaching staff, his agent, Scott Boras, is expected to seek a record-setting contract, raising questions about where Skubal will land.
