Tarik Skubal's trade speculation rises as Tigers lose to Orioles

Tarik Skubal pitched for the Detroit Tigers against the Baltimore Orioles on July 30, 2026. He struck out his 1,000th career batter and the Tigers led 7-0 before losing 10-9 in 12 innings. This loss increases speculation regarding Skubal's future with the team, as he may be traded before the deadline. MLB insider Jeff Passan expects a trade to occur soon, identifying the Los Angeles Dodgers as favorites, with the Milwaukee Brewers also interested. The Tigers have struggled this season, which has shifted their focus to trading assets like Skubal.
