Robbie Fox, the inaugural captain of Tasmania's VFL team, has been released from the club due to concerns over player behaviour. The decision comes as Tasmania prepares for its entry into the AFL in 2028. Fox played 13 matches for the Devils this season, following a 105-game career with the Sydney Swans. In addition, the Devils have signed George Stevens, a former Geelong midfielder, after he was delisted by the Cats. Stevens was a joint winner of this year's J.J. Liston Trophy, recognizing him as the VFL's best and fairest.
