At one time thought to be a future champion, injury struggles derailed a significant portion of Suarez’s career. Nevertheless, after finally getting healthy, the wrestling standout finally earned a strawweight title shot last year, where she was outclassed by Weili Zhang. Since then, Suarez has put together back-to-back wins, though, and hopes to get back to another title shot with a third consecutive win. A staple of the UFC’s strawweight division since 2019, Jandiroba also got her first title shot last year, losing a vacant title fight with Mackenzie Dern in October. Jandiroba rebounded with a decision win over Tabatha Ricci in April, and now hopes to get back into the mix with a win over a fellow top-five fighter.
