TCU dismisses safety Jacob Fields from football program

TCU has dismissed safety Jacob Fields from the football program due to a violation of team rules, according to a statement released on August 19, 2026. Fields, a transfer from Louisiana Tech, was expected to fill the position left by NFL draft pick Bud Clark. In 2025, he was named the Conference USA Co-Defensive Player of the Year, recording 92 tackles and three interceptions for Louisiana Tech.
