TCU safety Jacob Fields has been charged with aggravated assault following an August 13 locker-room fight that hospitalized receiver Dozie Ezukanma. Ezukanma suffered a concussion and a brain bleed, requiring three days of medical treatment. The physical altercation involved Fields allegedly punching and kicking his teammate in the head. The incident was reported to TCU police on August 14, and Fields was expelled from the football team the following day. Fields acknowledged the incident in a text message, stating he intended to pay the receiver's medical expenses. The university announced the dismissal of Fields three days after his expulsion.
