Team USA and France prepare for FIBA Women's World Cup final in Berlin

Team USA and France meet in the FIBA Women's World Cup final Sunday at the Berlin Arena. The matchup serves as a rematch of the 2024 Olympic gold medal game, which Team USA won by a single point after a late-game ruling on a buzzer-beater attempt by Gabby Williams. Both teams enter the championship contest with perfect 5-0 records in the tournament. France secured their place in the final with a 22-point semifinal victory over Germany, led by a 22-point performance from Williams. The French team currently leads the tournament in several statistical categories, including scoring and field goal percentage, with eight roster members currently active in the WNBA. Team USA seeks its fifth consecutive World Cup title, which would tie the record held by the Soviet Union. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET, with coverage available on TNT and HBO Max.
