What they're saying
"

It’s been over two years since Vince McMahon resigned from his position as TKO Executive Chairman, following Janel Grant’s sex trafficking lawsuit against him and WWE. Even so, there are still idiots like Teddy Long who think Vince’s return is the perfect solution to WWE’s creative woes. That’s what he told TMZ Sports: “I think what we got to do, we got to get Vince back, you know so we can do this thing right, and get the fans back on board.” Just like The Undertaker and other Vince loyalists have done to defend him, Long quickly dismissed Grant’s horrific allegations against McMahon by saying he doesn’t know everything that happened, as if that somehow makes it okay to pretend the story doesn’t exist, or that Vince’s disgusting text messages in the lawsuit aren’t real. Because Vince loves wrestling and it’s his life, and how dare that get taken away from him. “I don’t think the chapter has ever closed with him. I think Vince, like I said, I don’t know what happened or any of that stuff, but to me, in my knowing him, this was his life. He loved this. This was his life. I had a chance to ride on the plane with him, and one night [on the plane] and as soon as we took off, he talked about wrestling until we landed. He loves this. This is his life.” Teddy also uttered these words about Vince, which are not helping his case for McMahon to return to WWE. I assume there are zero women in WWE who are comfortable with this person potentially being in control of the work environment there. “He made a man out of me. Because Vince was like this, he’d get right in your ass brother, you didn’t have a chance. I’ve seen him in action. He got me one time, and I said that that will never happen to me again, and I made sure. But all you got to do is keep him happy. Do what he says. Don’t tell him what you’re not gonna do.” Long says WWE could call him up at any time to appear on its shows based on his Legends deal, but he just wishes it was Vince McMahon calling the shots. “I have that Legends deal, so if they call me, I have to go to work…I am ready, but then again I’m not ready, because…I’ll do what I’m told, what I have to do. But if I had to go back, I wish it would be under the whims of Vince McMahon.” During the interview, Teddy Long showed off the bust of Vince’s head that he received during McMahon’s 80th birthday party last year. I guess that’s all it takes to shut someone’s brain off and get them to say incredibly stupid things. Even if the Grant lawsuit is ignored (like Long conveniently wants to do), it’s like they also forget that Vince is an out-of-touch old man whose creative ideas would likely be the worst shit you can imagine in pro wrestling in 2026.
