Tekla Fine-Lease wins Vermont women's Amateur championship wire-to-wire

Tekla Fine-Lease of Quinnipiac University secured her first Vermont Women's Golf Association amateur title at Haystack Golf Course on August 6, 2026. Fine-Lease finished the three-day tournament with a score of 6-over 228, leading by seven strokes. She was the only golfer to post an under-par score for the tournament, including two eagles. Teegan Duffy placed second with a final score of 235, while Lin Culver finished third at 236. The tournament featured 46 competitors, concluding on Thursday.
