Tennessee basketball schedules exhibition game against Xavier on October 15

Tennessee men's basketball will host Xavier for their first exhibition game on October 15 at Food City Center. This matchup serves as the unofficial kickoff to the season, followed by an exhibition against Duke five days later. Historically, Tennessee holds a 12-5 advantage over Xavier, last meeting in 2014. Xavier, coming off a 15-18 season, revamped its roster under new coach Richard Pitino. Tennessee aims for a strong season with a highly regarded transfer class, returning to full competition on November 3 against Wofford.
