Tennessee beats Georgia Tech 45-24 at Bobby Dodd Stadium

No. 18 Tennessee improved to 2-0 on the season with a 45-24 victory over Georgia Tech on Saturday in Atlanta. The Volunteers established control early, holding a 24-10 lead by halftime. Tennessee’s offense produced 447 total yards, led by a rushing attack that accounted for 299 yards. DeSean Bishop contributed 147 of those yards with two touchdowns, while Daune Morris added 98 yards and one score on the ground. Freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon completed 10-of-21 passing attempts for 148 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Tennessee recorded two interceptions, including a 20-yard return for a touchdown by Dejuan Lane. The Yellow Jackets fell to 0-2 on the season, totaling 356 yards of offense in the loss.
