Tennessee football adds commitment from Asa Barnes, 2027 RB

Asa Barnes, a three-star running back from Martin Westview, committed to Tennessee football on July 29. The announcement came during a ceremony at his high school. Barnes, who is ranked No. 36 nationally among running backs for the Class of 2027, chose the Volunteers over Arkansas. He previously helped guide Westview to an undefeated season and a Class 3A state championship, earning him recognition as a versatile offensive player. He joins five-star recruit David Gabriel Georges in Tennessee's 2027 recruiting class, which now holds 19 commitments ahead of the early signing period in December.
