Tennessee pitcher Kailey Plumlee announces entry into transfer portal

Tennessee softball pitcher Kailey Plumlee declared her intention to enter the transfer portal on June 3. The freshman did not see any action during her first season with the Lady Vols, who made a run to the Women's College World Series semifinals. Plumlee, the only left-handed pitcher on the team, expressed gratitude to the university for her growth over the past year. She follows sophomore outfielder Saviya Morgan, who also announced her transfer plans. Last year, the Lady Vols lost another pitcher to the transfer portal under similar circumstances.
