Midfielder Ines Derrien provided the only goal of the match, converting a penalty kick in the 11th minute. Goalkeeper Cayden Norris secured the win by recording a clean sheet for the Lady Vols. The match marked the final nonconference contest for Tennessee ahead of its conference schedule. Tennessee begins Southeastern Conference play on Friday with a road match against LSU. The team then returns home for a September 24 match against Mississippi State.
