Tennessee tight end Ethan Davis named to John Mackey Award watch list

Tennessee senior tight end Ethan Davis has been named to the 2026 preseason John Mackey Award watch list, recognizing him as one of the top tight ends in college football. This marks his fourth year with the Vols, and he is among 43 players selected, including 10 from the SEC. In 2025, Davis recorded career highs in receptions (21), receiving yards (257), and touchdowns (two) despite injuries sidelining him for four games. Previously, he earned SEC All-Freshman Team honors in 2024 and made a notable performance with seven receptions for 85 yards in the Liberty Mutual Music City Bowl against Illinois. As the season approaches, his performance will be crucial for the Vols.
