Tennessee tight end Ethan Davis out for season with ACL injury

Tennessee tight end Ethan Davis will miss the remainder of the season due to an ACL injury sustained during the team's 45-24 victory against Georgia Tech. Coach Josh Heupel confirmed the news in his press conference on September 14. Davis, a senior, had contributed significantly to the team's offense with three catches for 43 yards and two touchdown receptions in the first two games of the season. In his absence, players DaSaahn Brame and Trent Thomas are expected to take on larger roles. Tennessee, currently ranked No. 14, is set to face Kennesaw State on September 19.
