Tennessee Titans coach Robert Saleh prepares for Jets game on 9/11 anniversary

Tennessee Titans coach Robert Saleh reflected on the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, citing the day as the catalyst for his career transition from banking to football coaching. His brother, David, escaped the second World Trade Center tower during the event. Saleh later pursued coaching, rising through the ranks to his current position with the Titans. As he prepares for his first game as head coach against the New York Jets on September 13 at Nissan Stadium, he faces roster challenges. Linebacker Cedric Gray is out for the opener while in concussion protocol following a UTV crash. The Titans will elevate veteran Mohamoud Diabate from the practice squad to fill the gap. The Jets have ruled out defensive end Joseph Ossai and wide receiver Tim Patrick, with cornerback D'Angelo Ponds and return specialist Kene Nwangwu listed as doubtful.
