Tennessee Titans waive quarterback Will Levis from active roster

The Tennessee Titans waived quarterback Will Levis from their active roster on Aug. 30. Following the move, Levis released a social media statement expressing appreciation for his time with the organization. The former second-round pick recorded 21 touchdowns across 21 starts for the team before losing his position on the depth chart. The franchise previously selected quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, effectively shifting their roster strategy. Levis spent time away from the team in 2025 while recovering from shoulder surgery and returned this year behind both Ward and veteran Mitchell Trubisky. The Titans currently list Ward and Trubisky as their only active quarterbacks ahead of their season opener against the New York Jets on Sept. 13. Levis is now subject to waiver claims; if he clears, he will become an unrestricted free agent.
