Tennessee Volunteers plan tributes to Dolly Parton for season-opener

The Tennessee Volunteers will honor the late country music legend Dolly Parton throughout their upcoming season-opener. Athletic director Danny White announced via social media that the program plans several tributes during Saturday's game. In addition to helmet stickers, fans are encouraged to remain in their seats during the halftime show and between the third and fourth quarters for scheduled programming. Parton, an icon associated with the university, died last week at age 80 following a battle with cancer. She previously performed at Neyland Stadium during a 2023 game against Georgia.
