However, the Kansas City Chiefs traded up to the 10th pick and selected Mahomes before the Saints could make their pick. As a result, the Saints drafted Marshon Lattimore, a standout player and All-Pro cornerback. Armstead played for the Saints from 2013 to 2021 before finishing his career with the Miami Dolphins.
