"Photo from Tessa Blanchard’s Instagram Tessa Blanchard’s debut in Major League Wrestling (MLW) is back on, though it’s obviously coming later than originally anticipated. The controversial star was originally announced to debut in MLW at the Fightland event on September 12. Soon after the appearance was announced, though, her current employers at Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) released a statement saying the MLW deal was for one match only. Then, without explanation, the announcement regarding her Fightland appearance was removed from MLW’s website, and she was replaced by Masha Slamovich at the event, who went on to pin Shotzi Blackheart for the women’s championship. While Slamovich was taking home gold at Fightland, Blanchard worked a CMLL event the same night at Arena Coliseo in Mexico City. Now, it seems as though Blanchard and MLW are going to try to make it work again. This time, CMLL appears to be onboard as well, since they announced she will be representing CMLL at MLW’s Saturday Night SuperFight pay-per-view event on November 7 at Chicago’s Cicero Stadium. It’s worth noting that as of press time, an opponent hasn’t been set for Blanchard. “Heavy is the crown, but legacy isn’t handed to you… it’s forged under pressure,” Blanchard said in a press statement released by MLW. “I’ve earned my place as one of the best in the world at what I do, but I’m not coming to MLW to rest on the Blanchard name. MLW is bringing some of the purest, hardest-hitting action in the sport today, and the Undeniable Diamond belongs right at the top of it.” MLW’s statement indicated the November 7th event is already sold out, but fans can stream the event live on VEEPS. Also scheduled to appear at MLW’s Saturday Night SuperFight are Killer Kross, Matt Riddle, Místico, Austin Aries, Paul Walter Hauser, and The Good Brothers.
