Texans coach Ryans discusses starters' status for Chargers preseason game
Summary

Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans provided insight on the use of starters in the upcoming preseason opener against the Los Angeles Chargers, set for Thursday night. Ryans indicated that a select group of veterans would not participate, consistent with the team's usual approach of resting starters in early preseason games. He emphasized the importance of evaluating players competing for roster spots, allowing those lower on the depth chart to gain valuable game experience.
