Texans' Jayden Higgins sidelined for season with ACL injury ahead of Bills game

The Houston Texans will face a significant challenge in their Week 1 matchup against the Buffalo Bills, as wide receiver Jayden Higgins is out for the season due to a torn ACL. Higgins sustained the injury during a joint practice with the Raiders, marking a setback for Houston's receiving corps. The 2025 second-round pick was expected to play a key role after a promising rookie year where he recorded 41 receptions for 525 yards and six touchdowns. Veteran Xavier Hutchinson is likely to step into Higgins' position as the Texans prepare for their opener. Without Higgins, Houston's aerial attack might struggle, especially against a strong Bills defense.
