Texans name Keylan Rutledge as starting center on depth chart

The Houston Texans have appointed Keylan Rutledge as their starting center on the initial depth chart. Rutledge, the team's first-round draft pick in 2026, has impressed Texans coaches, including offensive coordinator Nick Caley, during training camp. In competition with veteran Jake Andrews, Rutledge demonstrated strong performance, indicating he has adequately transitioned to his new position. This decision follows the Texans' efforts to improve their offensive line, which also included signing Braden Smith as a key addition. The Texans continue their training camp as they prepare for the upcoming season.
