Texans place Kayden McDonald on injured reserve with ankle injury

The Houston Texans moved rookie defensive lineman Kayden McDonald to injured reserve on Friday. McDonald, a second-round draft pick, missed two consecutive days of practice due to an ankle injury. Because of his placement on the reserve list, he is ineligible to play for a minimum of four games. This move delays his professional debut until at least October. To maintain defensive line depth, the Texans signed Jaden Crumedy to the active 53-man roster. Crumedy previously participated in training camp with the Green Bay Packers and has recorded 15 tackles and 0.5 sacks over the last two seasons with the Carolina Panthers.
