The Houston Texans have signed defensive tackle Naquan Jones, who returns to the team after a brief stint with the San Francisco 49ers. Jones played in three games for the 49ers this season, filling in after injuries left the position depleted. With injured players James Thompson and Mykel Williams returning, the 49ers released him. Jones had been with the Texans in training camp before joining the Minnesota Vikings and subsequently signing with the 49ers. Following this move, the 49ers have an opening on their practice squad as they prepare for an upcoming game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
