Texans sign WR Juwann Winfree, place LB Sione Takitaki on IR

The Houston Texans added veteran wide receiver Juwann Winfree to their roster ahead of Thursday’s preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers. To make room, the team placed linebacker Sione Takitaki on the reserve/injured list. Winfree, a sixth-round pick in 2019, has played in 23 games for multiple teams, including a stint with the Texans last preseason. Takitaki had recorded 292 tackles and four sacks prior to his injury. The Texans are set to kick off their preseason schedule on Thursday.
