Texas A&M football adds commitment from 5-star WR Eric McFarland III

Eric McFarland III committed to Texas A&M football on June 28. The 5-foot-8, 177-pound wide receiver ranks as the No. 25 overall recruit in the 2027 class and the No. 5 wide receiver nationally, according to 247Sports. McFarland initially reclassified from the 2028 cycle and previously received offers from top programs including Georgia and Ohio State. He played for IMG Academy, recording 29 receptions for 595 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2025. McFarland achieved Offensive MVP honors at the 2026 Polynesian Bowl, contributing to Texas A&M's positively growing recruiting efforts under head coach Mike Elko.
