Clayton Freshcorn, a right-handed pitcher for Texas A&M baseball, has announced he will return for his senior season in 2027. Freshcorn was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 19th round of the 2026 MLB Draft but has opted to continue his collegiate career. In the previous season, he recorded a 2.82 ERA and 56 strikeouts over 54.1 innings, finishing with 12 saves, marking the third-highest total in Texas A&M history. With Freshcorn's return, the Aggies' pitching rotation is set to strengthen under new pitching coach Barry Enright.
