Texas A&M players begin the 2026 NFL season on reserve lists

Several former Texas A&M football players have been assigned to injured reserve, the physically unable to perform list, or practice squads for the start of the 2026 NFL season. Offensive lineman Chase Bisontis and edge rusher Nic Scourton are sidelined for the entire season with knee injuries. Other players, including wide receiver Christian Kirk and defensive lineman Shemar Turner, are recovering from previous injuries but may return to play later this year. Cornerback Tyreek Chappell currently resides on the Minnesota Vikings injured reserve after being waived with an injury designation. Meanwhile, linebackers Tyrel Dodson and Buddy Johnson, along with tight end Tre Watson, have secured positions on their respective team practice squads. While these roster assignments are set for Week 1, the status of these players remains subject to change as teams adjust their personnel throughout the season.
