Texas A&M secures commitment from Lamar transfer LHP Jarret Williams

Texas A&M has added left-handed pitcher Jarret Williams from Lamar, with the announcement coming shortly after the Aggies' postseason exit. Williams finished his freshman season with 52 strikeouts and a 3.83 ERA over 56.1 innings. Following the departure of pitching coach Jason Kelley, head coach Michael Earley and new coach Barry Enright are focusing on rebuilding the pitching staff, having already brought in several players from the transfer portal. Williams becomes the seventh pitching commitment from the portal this offseason, aiming to contribute in a middle-relief role next season.
