Texas Longhorns land 2027 DL Kasi Currie over top competitors

The Texas Longhorns have secured a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Kasi Currie for their 2027 recruiting class. Currie, a 6'5", 310-pound player from Chatsworth, CA, chose Texas over Georgia, Oregon, and Ohio State. He is ranked as a top-5 defensive lineman according to Rivals and brings notable athleticism and power to the position. Currie will reunite with former high school teammate Richard Wesley in Austin. Texas now has 13 commitments for the 2027 class as head coach Steve Sarkisian continues to build the roster ahead of the upcoming season.
