Texas Rangers name August minor league award winners

The Texas Rangers announced their minor league monthly award recipients for August 2026. Dylan Dreiling received Player of the Month honors after batting.429 with a hit in all 20 of his appearances for AA Frisco. Moises Morales earned Starting Pitcher of the Month, carrying a 1.44 ERA over five August appearances split between Hickory and Hub City. Yolfran Castillo, a 19-year-old shortstop, was named Defender of the Month, maintaining a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. Reliever Kay Wynyard rounded out the selections by recording six scoreless appearances for Hub City. These honors recognize individual progress across the organization’s minor league levels during the final stretch of the season.
