Texas Rangers place Corey Seager on 7-day concussion injured list

The Texas Rangers have announced that Corey Seager is on the 7-day concussion injured list, effective retroactively from June 12. Seager suffered the concussion during a collision with Kansas City Royals catcher Carter Jensen while scoring a run in a game on June 11. To replace Seager on the active roster, the Rangers activated Josh Smith from the injured list. Although activated, Smith is not included in the starting lineup for the team's current game, with Cody Freeman and Nicky Lopez playing in the infield positions.
