Texas releases initial injury report ahead of Cotton Bowl matchup with Oklahoma

The initial injury report for the No. 1 Texas Longhorns ahead of their game against Oklahoma was released. Running back Hollywood Smothers is not on the injury report after previously missing time due to a lower-leg injury. Junior nickel back Xavier Filsaime also returns to health. Tight end Nick Townsend is listed as probable after a knee issue. However, defensive lineman Justus Terry and wide receiver Kaliq Lockett are both doubtful. Oklahoma has four players listed as out and several others with different statuses as they prepare for the game on Saturday in the Cotton Bowl.
