Texas running back Hollywood Smothers out for Ole Miss game

Texas Longhorns senior running back Hollywood Smothers has been ruled out for the upcoming game against Ole Miss. Smothers was downgraded from doubtful due to a shoulder injury, which caused him to miss practice earlier in the week. He previously missed the game against Tennessee with a lower-leg injury. Alongside Smothers, junior edge Colin Simmons, freshman edge Richard Wesley, sophomore wide receiver Kaliq Lockett, and senior offensive lineman Jaydon Chatman are also out for the game. Freshman running back Derrek Cooper is probable while sophomore offensive lineman Jackson Christian is questionable.
